Why do you put all the blame on him?

What about the guy that started all the whole debate and continued to argue with him again and again?

It takes (at least) two to engage a pissing contest...so why do you blame only one of both belligerents?

Be fair at least.

Because the other guy doesn't know what he's talking about. This guy does know what he's talking about but his delivery sucks. If he wants to come across as a pro, he should deliver his replies like a pro.

Passing on a DOuble Yellow

I can only speak to VT, where I learned to drive. The reason we were told that the law was written that way was so that people could pass slow-moving farm equipment (when it is safe), without having to wait for a passing zone. However, the law there specifically says that you cannot pass on a double yellow for any reason if; you are going through a stoplight (yes we had a few), around a curve, across a bridge, across railroad tracks, over a hill, or any one of a couple other similar exclusions.

All that said, I used the rule to pass more blue-haired, leaf peeping tourists who were staring at the cows like they were fing aliens than I ever used it to pass farm equipment.

Hell, from the evidence I see in these pictures, its safer to drive on the wrong side at the dragon.

Maybe contribute to the thread, I thought this whole thread was about crossing the double yellow line, the dangers, reasons etc. No matter what happens on forums there will always be debates and disagreements on any and all subjects.

We do not have that law here, but I do not know anyone who has ever been ticketed for passing farm equipment. Yesterday alone I made four such passes in one hour. Although sometimes I am the operator holding up traffic. I do try to get as far right as possible when possible when there are vehicles behind me. Sometimes that just is not possible.
