Pic #19 is my 'favorite'.
Thoughts:

1) thank God I didn't have one of these encounters while there two weeks ago
2) at what point did he first shit himself
3) once giving up on making the turn and uprighting the bike say pic 10 to 11, why did it take until pic 15 to see BRAKES!?!?

This was my question. IF, he had been fully concentrated on riding and prepped for that turn, would he have still over shot the center line?
Looks like he probably couldn't have leaned that chrome beast over too much further, but with a more thoughtful entry into the corner could he have made it?

Saw vette, turned in hard, scrubbed hard parts, panicked, maybe grabbed some front brake, which stood him up and made him run wide.

Totaled that beast, and $10k+ in damages to the 'vette...
(IF it stayed on the shoulder and didn't end up down the mountain itself...)

That looked pretty violent. Bike looks fubared. He was def going too fast for his skills.
If I was the Vette guy I would be pissed. Looks like the rider just gave up on the turn. Had he stuck with it he might have snuck by the Vette guy.
The camera folks don't cause accidents.

He's looking/waving directly at the photographer in the first pictures in the series thereby not setting up properly for the corner. The Vette wasn't necessarily fixation as much as sheer panic in the middle of blowing the corner.
He was finished way before he even saw the car.

That's a pretty good impact broke all the spokes right out of the front wheel....I know it was alloy but still....The brake light comes on and off but I wonder if that's because of the shutter speed of the camera and the fact that the brake light is an LED....or maybe he has a brake light flasher.

I agree I think it was him looking at the photographer and not setting up for he corner properly bet that happens 100 times a day.

I agree, If the photog was not there, he would have made the corner just fine. He would have been paying attention to the road and not mugging for the camera.

The good thing is, your damn motor can't read. If it says oil on the container, it's pretty much OK to dump in there.... ED.

Ignoring stinky ABS bait- so it's not just me that noticed the driver buried the nose on that thing.
