After riding with me for several years, my wife started doing this. I lean into a turn, she tries to sit up straight.
Now I ride by myself or with my daughter.

Absolutely correct. What lessens the risk is paying attention, knowing your bike and knowing how to ride.

I am not sure the wifely fail in the previous photo is actually a fail. Given the amount of hard parts grinding below, she may know something that the operator hasn't yet registered. At what point on the ramp up to a low-side is a passenger allowed to save themselves? If she would have given the same lean as daddy-o they might lose that rear contact patch yet. Just sayin'

Scratching his head, or waving as he scoots by?

In your opinion it is idiotic and risky. If that is how you feel and it works for you then continue that way. I want you and every other rider to arrive safely at their intended destination each and every ride.

You call me a troll. I am not being a troll here. I actually like inattentive cage drivers as they make my riding more interesting and engaging. I ride New Years Eve, Cinco de Mayo, 4th of July, Superbowl Sunday, Friday/Saturday nights and all the other high risk times just for fun. I call it: "Dodge the Drunks"

Riding with and around idiots is not that bad when you go out and intentionally expect the idiocy. It is the complacency that gets you killed.
Exactly. I enjoy riding in traffic more than riding alone on an empty road. It requires total attention and continuous observation of everything going on around me, and nonstop planning of what I'm going to do next. It's very rewarding when I get everything to click. If I'm ever surprised, I consider it to be my fault. Animals are the one thing I have no control over. They are totally unpredictable.

I prefer riding in less than perfect weather.

Wind, cool, rain, I really don't mind.

I don't consider the weather to be a danger or something to be avoided.

Definite fail, no question.

If she had leaned with him, he would.not have had to push the bike over as far. My wife used to do the same thing.

I think he is thanking the driver of the van for using one of the pull overs on the Dragon. I always signal the considerate drivers that pull over for me.

I love coming to this thread, but today I open it up and I have to go back four pages to find a picture of a dumbass on the gap. The "ADV" in ADV Rider does not stand for "Advice". Save it for one of the literally ten thousand "ATGATT" or "Riding Advice" threads, and go pontificate somewhere else, everyone knows Old Guys know best, thats how you got to be so old, etc etc. Now post some damn pictures.

I dont care if these are reposts, I like them, and they are actually from the gap.
