I've been on it many times around 6pm with almost no traffic and had a great time, the po po are usually wrapping up the speed traps by then. I find the troopers are jerks writing tickets constantly for anything over 40 and the deputies are fair, mainly inforcing the double yellow or much higher speeds.

But, lately I avoid it during peak times when they sneak around with radar, I suck at staying below 30..... And they aren't always where you last saw them either. ghead:

I think Harley discontinued the XR1200 in the USA because it didn't sell in the USA. It is still available in other markets where it sells.
I own a 2001 Kawasaki W650 that suffered the same fate in the USA.
It's called making a profit with a product.

In fact, with as reclusive as I've been for the past couple of years I am looking forward to spending 2-3 weeks heading east to do something I've always enjoyed, but haven't had a chance to do for awhile... Explore the country. It'll be good for me.

Perhaps the local guys may be able to change my mind on the subject when I get out there. I'm sure they'd be willing to give me the 50 cent tour. I'll make you a deal. If I go out there, ride the Dragon and get a killboy pic, I'll post it up here for you guys to poke at.

Murphy's California? Calistoga? Sebastopol?

I think they just would rather lock their elbows with their hands on the tank to keep from wearing out their arms or their driver's arms from having to hold them back under braking.

The good thing is, your damn motor can't read. If it says oil on the container, it's pretty much OK to dump in there.... ED.

Make sure to cross the double yellow while leaning the wrong way all the while hanging off the bike wearing only shorts and flip flops...Oh, and tie a child to the front (fender-less) fork on your heavily lowered and chopped , car tire clad classic Italian sport bike. Be sure to look angry as motorcycles are no place to enjoy yourself....Extra points if you can do all of this while making an unsafe pass around a blind corner while towing a trailer that literally has a kitchen sink somewhere on it..

Been there twice, going back in April with a bunch of Buell guys. Maybe I'll pose for you guys. First time I was there I met a couple FFs. It is both a cool road to ride and a scene.
