Similarly, I'd like to get s scooter for just local running around my small town. Even the R60 is overkill. But scooters are association with old guys puttering around and I can't bring myself to do that. What I'm looking for is something like a Helix, used but not abused, that I can strip the tupperware off and turn it into a Cycle of Doom or something Steampunk or something real basic.

I bought a used Piaggio MP3 400 and really enjoy it around town (I have couple of buddies that rode their 500s across the country).

Oh, wait a minute, I'm a geezer. Ian, Iowa

They are no fun at all.
That may well be the case in The Big City, but this is what we have in the sticks:

So I saw another friend that has one last weekend, and yeah, the low beam is on top. Well, mostly. The tech that installed it got it canted about 15 degrees to one side... clockwise.

Edit- I wonder if they did that on purpose. GOOD reflectors have a level beam to the left (oncoming traffic) side, and the cutoff slants up to the right about mid-beam to show further up the shoulder. I could see a minimum wage MMI mouth breather tilting the headlight to get a "proper" V-shape.

Hey, I go to MMI right now.

Mine is level. I have full coverage side to side, without being above the trunkline or hoodline of any cars, so I think it's supposed to be that way. It was designed specifically for motorcycles.
