The "fast guy" in this group was the guy on the sort of dirty looking ZX9 that he also used as his race bike as I recall.
I remember you on the Beemer! My Dad and I used to be dealers for BMW, so I still had a soft spot for 'em.
Right after this picture was snapped......

everybody went for a "piss-break" off on the side. I (the snow-bird with the pink leathers & the tricked out ZX11) was taking my time and next thing I know all you guy's are on your bikes taking off!!!!!!!!
By the time I got on the bike, you were all far out of sight. I picked off all the bikes one at a time within a few miles, but the guy on the ZX9 took me quite awhile to catch, but catch him I did. Took me about 25 miles to do it, but as I was coming out of a turn, there he was just going into the next turn. I came up on his butt and just stayed there. He was going nuts at the end of the road when we stopped to wait for all the rest of his crew.........."HOLY SHIT, when we took off you were still over on the side pissin'!!! Ain't nobody ever even kept up to me on this road and you fuckin' well caught me!!! You could have passed me any time you felt like it." And I was like......."Once I caught you, believe me, I was happy enough just to ride behind you as I had to ride like a retard to catch you."
Here's the bike then.............

and I STILL have it.............

That was one hell of a good time I had down there, and that day with you guy's on that road was the high point of the whole week-end!
The day before I hooked up with you guy's, a guy on a Ducati 900 SS (belt drive job) offered to show me the, ahem, "good lines" through the dragon. We were at the deli. He was with three of his buddies, we took off with me in the back. His three friends weren't the fastest guy's around so I passed them within about 1/4 mile, tucked in behind my "mentor" for the line schooling, at the very first tightish right hander he's going into it pretty hot and I'm thinking.........his tire ain't very warm, and next thing I see is him sliding up the road on his belly. He jumped up instantly, so he was OK, I parked my bike and went up to him and said........."let me guess, that wasn't one of the good lines." He started cracking up. Bike was just scraped up. I went on my way to try and decipher the lines of the fabled dragon on my own.

Last day of the Javits Center bike show the preceding winter, I picked up my pinkness for $250. I'm a broke ass nigga all my life, so I didn't give a shit what color they were. $250? I'LL TAKE 'EM! I still have those beauties too, but I also have a set of all black Dainese to off-set the pinkness.

Wow, small world ain't it.

Good times indeed ! Wish I still had that bike, been through a couple of oil heads, and on a hex head GS now. I do have an old 82 airhead I restored for when the mood strikes.

Most of the crew are still around and kicking. Where are you these days ?

The good thing is, your damn motor can't read. If it says oil on the container, it's pretty much OK to dump in there.... ED.

Your point? Or just your insecurity?

I like my pink leathers. I find them to be slimming.

For the $250 I got them for, I wouldn't have cared if they were "Hello Kitty" theme.

Another inmate PM'd me to ask if it was me & my ZX in the pics, that's how I came across the pics because I sort of stopped following this thread a while back.
Yup! It is a small world, this M/C world anyway.
I'm still here in the police state of NJ. Wife wouldn't be able to make the $$$ down there that she can pull down here, so here we are. Could be worse I guess, been here all my life and know all the roads, woods, and lots of people. I hope to make it down there again one of these days. Maybe I'll try to get in touch with you here and you could get all those guy's and we could have a sort of "reunion" ride. I could even ride the same bike!!!!

Chris

Haa haa it is a small world.

I saw OCF's FM ad awhile ago...saw the Eleven in the pics with a SS swinger...jeez how many of those things are floating around those parts...Naaawwwwww.

Haa haa that's awesome.
Though looking at the pink leathers that paint job starts to make sense!
