I agree, lighten up on the bars an let the bike have its head, it will figure out what it needs to do and take you there.

If you can't avoid hitting that crack, you are riding out of control. There's plenty of room there. Just my opinion, of course. I haven't been there.

There's nothing BUT cracks and gouges like that on my favorite twisty. The road undergoes extremely harsh winters every year and hasn't had any serious work done in over a decade. Unless your motorcycle has tires the width of a road bicycle they're pretty uneventful unless you are REALLY at the limit.

Yea if that was me I would have straightened that corner out and swept acroos the paint 2 feet before that crack

That crack is not on "the" line for that corner. Not any line I'd be taking at a brisk-ish pace anyway..... I'd be crossing it from the left.

Even running along the crack pictured = non-event.

It's generally considered bad riding form to crash your motorcycle as a result of a stationary object (or obstacle) in the roadway.
