Beyond awe

ChevalDeFer: Awesome, as in: inspiring awe (an overwhelming feeling of reverence, admiration, fear, etc., produced by that which is grand, sublime, extremely powerful, or the like).

Ace100: Well, hell, you one upped that.

If I had to guess he jumped all over the rear brake and "had to lay'er down" trying to fix it.

Well, if you're gonna wreck, the dirt's a better choice than the guardrail... but I agree with the poster who pointed out that you have to lean the bike in order to turn it. Looks like he was fighting himself, countersteering and then pulling the handlebars back, and that was what was making the bike shake. I also agree with the comment above; his lines weren't good and he would have had to lean a lot more than he was evidently comfortable with to make the turn, even at 33 mph (his original speed) much less at 24 mph (his speed shortly before he left the road) but by this time he was already committed to going off the road.

Kinda reminds me of the old pilot joke about how it's not the 10,000 foot dive that kills you, or even the sudden stop at the end when you plow into the ground... it's realizing just how freaking stupid you were to get into the situation in the first place.
