I have been informed that part of the high cost of BMW's goes into a road ownership pool and BMW riders are allowed to ride as slow as they need to in whatever lane they wish. You will move or have you leg snapped by those large ugly heads sticking out the side of the case.......

The guy in the pic has exceeded his rights though as he is in both lanes...front tire on his yellow line and rear on the opposite directions yellow line.

I guess if you're used to miles and miles of flat, straight roads it's hard to imagine what roads like 129 and even 421 are actually like. They are so twisty and have so many elevation changes that large trucks really have no business on them, at all. Even without other traffic those roads are just about unmanageable in a tractor trailer. I have seen them hanging off of both sides of the road for no other reason than there was just not enough room to make the turns. Even when doing the posted limit on a bike you can round one of the blind corners or crest a hill and immediately be face to face with an oncoming truck completely covering your lane and the shoulder. It's a problem with trucks on those roads, not bikes on those roads. There's pics on killboy.com that show exactly what I'm talking about.

I'm sure EVERY person who as replied to this thread has crossed the double yellow at some point in the riding life. When he sees this picture, I'm sure he'll learn from the mistake.

Guess he couldn't lay 'er down fast enough. He sure had the rear wheel lock-up thing down so you know he had some "biker" training.

Ok the guy buggerd that up big time, but these self-righteous types in the camper were to scared to stop and help. If this guy needed urgant medical attention, then the camper van would have been able to assist far better then the other guys were. Tossers!!

Just goes to show, marketing the bad boy biker image does have it's downside.

It's no big deal, all the "bikers" were Doctors.

Oh ,I agree with you 100%...what they did by driving off was criminal imo AND criminal as far as the law is concerned in most states too....I'm not defending the campers in the least, because what they did was shameful,BUT most of your non riding public's perception of "bikers" (I use that word loosely) riding HDs are that they are badasses...the general public does not realize that most of them are dorks that just LOOK tough. They revel in that image and want you to think that about them too...so in this case it backfired...the campers were scared that these dudes were going to "kick their asses" and chose self preservation over assisting another human being in trouble.
That's the way I viewed it,but I could be as wrong as I usually am.

Let me stir the pot a little. The driver of the camper was a sport bike rider leaving the area. I don't remember his sig but I do remember his original post over on Easttnriders. I would have stopped at least to tell the HD rider to never stop riding the bike even when you see you have phukuped up.
