So.. not really a "fail" so-much as a wash...

The only benefit is most of my friends don't ask to borrow my truck because they can't drive a stick.

But we are a disappearing bunch. It has become difficult to buy something that is not automatic.

Also, one has to distinguish the two main types of automatic transmissions. The ones with a clutch and the ones without a clutch. So at least for sports cars, one can still get one with a clutch. Automatic, but not a slush box.

Ok, time to throw some fuel on the fire: Harley Owner's Group (HOG) is sponsoring a tour from September 26th to the 29th of the region, including "Tail of the Dragon" and the Cherohala. Get ready!

There are numerous groups that hold events in the area almost every weekend from April through October. That's one reason the place is such a Zoo. That's why I went last weekend - to be able to ride the road without all the traffic. It just means there will be plenty of failure pics to post in this thread.

There were already a number of Harley riders out this past weekend.....and it's still winter.

Pretty sure that guy is a Marine. Red details on the timer and battery covers look like they have EGA's and the boots look like issue.

I agree.

It killed me to buy my car in auto though it has flappy paddles as an option. Here in miami traffic and lack of curves buying a manual just didn't make sense though.
Also the packages that offered manual were either bare bones basic or the track day oriented model. (Genesis Coupe.)

I played with the paddle shifting Sunday and I guess it is a nice option to have but it just isn't the same as having a clutch.
