Ranch Road 337 is often considered the finest motorcycle road in Texas. I road it today in light rain, fog and mist on a Wee. Some guy was set up with the big camera taking shots of motos entering a tight declining hair pin.

I don't think he was looking for "the wave"... my guess is that he has or will soon have a Texas version of Killboy... Killcowboy, no doubt.

I must have seen several hundred bikes today, more than half were H-D. Probably another 20% were metric cruisers...
The rest were BMWs and sport bikes. No dual sport bikes were seen today. Not one Wee other than mine.

Dunno, looks familiar (but then, if you've seen one fail, they all look similar). The comments in the link are interesting, though.

Sounds like what you saw is representative of US bike sales figures. Was this a surprise?

Texas Ranch Road 337 does have it's own version of Killboy. Website is txmotofoto.com.

Riding lessons? Let's see you bank an iron pig that deep.
The rider pushing the limits of a bike few would dare lean like that is bad ass to me. The twat with the Harley jacket, barely tipped aprilia bike, pudding helmet, no gloves, skate shoes, and flood water pants is "less" bad ass to me.

I'd agree with that.

Squids think it's the bike that makes them pro.

Wasn't surprised at all... if anything, a confirmation of US sales results...

To be honest, the cruisers did not look comfortable or even well suited for that road...

I'm sure that as they saw me on my Wee, they thought, "What a homely sight... it's a shame that guy has to ride such an ugly, soul-less bike..."

To each his own...

At least the second rider is properly taking the turn. The other guy is about to wind up on his ass.
