Ridden a few bikes now that have "darkside" tires on them. They ride just fine and handle just fine. I don't run one but don't go around telling people they will die or are dumb or anything like that. It obviously works for that guy.

I too have ridden a few and IMO they handle like crap. Dumbsiders are just too embarrassed or stubborn to admit their folly.

It takes a little more effort to get the bike leaned over and keep it leaned over. If you let go the bike stands back up. The bikes I've ridden them on have been cruisers and I can still lever them off the ground with the floor boards before I run out of traction.

They're really not a big deal after you do a few turns and get adjusted you'd never know its a car tire back there.
