I've got an old retired PA State Police Crown Vic, one of our outside sales guys uses it when calling on LE agencies.

Would not wish the driving experience on anyone. Can't get any of the other drivers to even get close to the actual speed limit.

That has not been my experience. Sure, they aren't sports cars for twisty back roads, but on the highway they make great fast cruisers. One time I took four members of my family to Florida from New York in one straight shot, and for long stretches down in Florida we ran 95 mph and up and the car felt like it was loafing along with four people and a full trunk of luggage. Averaged 26 mpg for the trip too.

I'm half convinced you could put on a blindfold and drive by Braille through downtown Boston during Friday afternoon rush hour an never hit a car. I was once driven around in one and the driver spent more time looking at me (in the back seat) than where he was going and people were nearly hitting each other to get out of the way.

Given the tires & wheels (wider than standard), suspension, drivetrain, and engine (beefier than standard) and room for five Americans, it'd actually make a decent small trailer tow vehicle for a pittance.
