unfortunately this is true, 90% of WV was subjected to mountain top removal and valley fills. Sadly this pic was from my ride in the mountains of WV last weekend No reason to come here anymore, its all just reclaimed mine property, straight roads and rolling fields...

WV used to be a wonderful place to ride but it looks more like nebraska now

Uh huh. I spent 4 months in Petersburg last year on a contract job. That's what it looked like alright. Straight and flat.

I know the one that isn't but, well... OK, I am open to taking bids but it really isn't that special.

Nothing good in PA either any pictures you've seen to the contrary have been photoshopped and any videos (including my own) have all had unpaved and/or twisty roads CGed in.
Long Island is the destination now, everyone should crowd in there further.

Word has it that the Federales are Permitting a rim-cut strip mine on the TN side of The Dragon. Roadbed will be about 300' wide with a straight 4-lane road with lots of space off to the side for trinket shops and boutiques...

Same with roads in New Hampshire.
Dead flat no curves anywhere. Well, maybe a few once you get off the 10's of 1000's of miles of freeway.

You want curves, best to stay on the Dragon, don't come looking in NE, none of that to see here, move along

Didn't you hear the road is closed, gates at both end and they never plan to open them again. Part of some forest plan to close all road in the trees.

Ain't this the truth! I have new tire in my garage right now waiting to go on. The old on from the side looks brand new as well. From the rear, well:

That is what happens when you ride 36 miles a day to work and back home, and the only two curves are the entrance/exit to work and my subdivision.

Better get your camera and stake out your spot! Before you know it there will be a bike or two riding by every few days!

Very nice people. But then again, I don't live there, so I have the skewed "tourist" view.
You must have WV confused with Kansas!

Sad too, as even a modern car could easily pass another on many of those roads where now its illegal simply because its a double yellow.

So much fail.
Welcome to Georgia... same shit here. Mile plus long straights with good visibility and no intersection roads or driveways... double yellow. And they have this nice habit of arbitrarily lowering the speed limit too.

We know it is all about raising revenue.

That is why playing cops & robbers is a life long necessity.
