Driving a motorized vehicle in this free country is a privilege, not a right. You get the privilege with the understanding that if you violate the RULES, you can lose the privilege, and you will STILL be paying for both sides of the road...

I dislike nanny state laws protecting adults from themselves. If you are an adult its your right to be stupid as long as you don't hurt someone else.

I am all for nanny state laws protecting children from stupid parents. I do think the booster seat is probably as safe as having feet on pegs. I can't tell, but I really hope that little girl isn't strapped to the bike. That would be worse than the lack of gear and the too-large helmet.
