Good cruisin' practice-- don't wanna hit that dreaded Front Brake whilst apexing the turn.

Maybe, but don't the car tire people generally decide to run car tires to get more mileage from the rubber? I'd think that would be an indicator he rides, well, a lot of miles...

I don't think it's real. Looks like a pretty bad photoshop. Lots of blurring around the leg (not the blurring because of movement, blurring to cover editing) and the line (which would have been obscured by the leg in the original) looks poorly reconstructed using the clone stamp tool.

Don't know if that will help you but I don't think it's a broken leg you're looking at

You sure about that, he isn't leaning much. Nobody is saying a car tire CAN'T turn, the problem is that the geometry obviously impedes turn-in. The rear HAS TO jack up to lean over. If car ires are so great for turning, why don't they run them in, say, Moto GP? (That would be car racing rubber of course.)

Car tires are better for straight run long tread life, at the expense of turning responsiveness. Everyone seems to recognize that they'll run longer in a straight line. But the car tire runners want to pretend it's not at the expense of anything.

I'm a dualsporter. I recognize that there are tires that are better in mud but worse on pavement, and tires that are better on pavement but worse in mud. Why can't (or won't) car tire runners recognize that a car tire on a bike is better for tread life in a straight line, but worse for turning responsiveness? Are they such bad riders that they can't tell? If the car tires are indeed best for everything with absolutely no downside, why don't new bikes come with them?

Hey, if you had a wide enough car tire, you wouldn't need your sidestand to park....

Tires are just like politics, religion, and sports teams. Everybody believes that theirs are the best.

As a dualsporter, I believe every tire is a compromise.

Seriously, if for once I heard someone say, "I run a car tire because I run all day on the slab, and my 800 lb. cruiser isn't quick in the corners anyway, so I can hardly feel the difference" then I could have some respect for their choice. But it's always "I turn just fine and I ride more miles in a year than you do, so don't you dare question me."

Well in the other movie, the bike came apart from the car as an escape vehicle after he killed the car. So at least in the movie world there is a reason for it being a car tire... other than getting good miles out of it.
