He put in $3 at Paisley, but I gave him a little more at China Hat.

That thing was burning through the fuel for sure.

Naw, that's about where his fuel should be for Paisley to Silver lake with the fuel he left with. My range with the same tank is around 100 miles (FULL)and he did 65 or so with 2/3 a tank. NEVER PASS GAS.

Edit: What I mean is "if I left Paisley with the same amount of gas I would have ran out on China Hat also"

Your bikes problem is that it has only two throttle postitions: off and WFO.
Maybe you should experiment with others. But your right about never passsing gas. Passing gas can get you into a stinky situation.

Thinking about doing this last weekend in May. Is there a motel in Paisley?

Can't wait but gotta go back to the UK first. If my buddy bails, I may be looking for someone to tag along.

I gotta log into bds more and get on some rides.

I've not stayed, only passed through. We toured one of the rental cabins ($80/night). It was clean and looked very comfortable.

Does Silver Lake have anything? It's 51 miles north of Paisley up Hwy 31.

Summer Lake is the bomb.

Silver Lake has a little Motel too.

edit: If you stay at SL, tell Duane, the owner (if he's there) that you're one of the BDS crew. Helps our cause.

Just made a reservation. Hmmn, they have a 2 night minimum on weekends, ok, I guess we'll have to stay 2 nights then Truck it over to Bend Thursday night, follow your guys route out to Paisley Friday, find some cool riding in the Paisley area Saturday (shouldn't be hard), Sunday ride back to Bend. maybe on CHR. Sun night truck it back to PDX. Sounds like a plan to me

P.S No way I'm gonna associate myself with you BDS low-lives, I can smell a clear trap nah, will let him know.

Enjoy yourself! It is beautiful out there in a strange sort of way. You can park at my place in Redmond if you want but Brad's is way closer to the trail head on Ford Rd. Just give me a shout if you need it.

Thanks Stuart. I'll let you know. Brad, you have room for us to park a truck/trailer at your place? Toss up, Redmond is closer to PDX.

Several of us BDSers are headed to Cali via Silver Lake/Bly on the 30th at 8am from Bend, not going through Christmas Valley though but we're going your way for a while. Taking Ford Rd/China Hat Rd.
