Stahlflex!!
Hey, I had those Stahlflex tires on my 79 Ford Fiesta S: I thought they were a huge improvement on the stock 12 inch wheels and tires.
They made that tiny little car jam through corners. ![]() |

To a country club, bluegrass festival, or Moto GP race I would too.
On a daily basis, no way-- it would probably make me chronically nauseated.

Those early '80s Vettes were shit the day they rolled out of the assembly plant.

I would disagree....after about 82 they started to turn around....key word is started, I was working at GM at the time, cross fire is the worst thing to happen to the american car buying people that I can think of....but.
IMHO corvette died in 1973....and stayed dead till 1982. Personally I like the 72 the best....last of the crome bumper on both ends corvette. Early ones are total crap....blue flame 6 and a slush box anyone. Mid 60's are pretty good as well.....at least after GM figured out that disks would work on all 4 corners....gasp.

As would I: the '84, though it suffers in hindsight, was at the time of its introduction, a revelation. Handling, looks, power-- it was a quantum leap past the "Secretary's 'Vette" that preceded it.

I had an 84 vette, was like driving a big street legal go kart, even with the "soft" stock suspension, and this is how I screwed it up so my 6'6" 400 pound lard ass could drive it
I was sitting on the floor of the car, but there was actually a cover over all this stuff so it did look a little better and I still have the custom made seat back for my next vette

Sorry, I don't speak French.
But that car could use a shave. Buick wants it's chrome trim back. And I bet the way the front fenders are skirted makes the head-on view look weird. .
