My tires have been on order for almost two weeks now. I ordered from Competition Accessories because they had the best price. And no one else wanted to price match them. Well, since I don't use the common 180 or 190 size, I can only squeeze a 170 in there. It was on some sort of super intergalactic backorder and had to be custom made, uh ordered directly from the manufacturer.

But is all good, I planned to get it to this weekend and things fell in place, only 27 more miles to home and she's up on the centerstand!!!

BTW, that is almost 11k out of a Dunlop RoadSmart on the rear of a 700lb Connie!!!!

Wolf Pen Gap/Suches area is some of my favorite riding of all time. Absolutely beautiful.

I think Sean will be getting it today before we all leave work.

I'm really looking forward to RWTW, I have heard the road is every bit as technical as the Dragon, but no where near as crowded or patrolled.

I have done the WNC area many times, I have never been into this area of GA before. So I am looking forward to it. Also plan on stopping by Helen to see what that's all about.

My favorite road in that area is actually a section of RT129. It runs from Turners Corner out to a place called "booger hollow" while crossing a range known as "blood mountain". Wolf Pen Gap runs into 129. From the High Mountain Valley campground head toward 60, take a left and run down 60 to 19, hang a left on 19 and that will dead end at 129 right at turners corner. There's a neat rockpile at the intersection of 19/60, it's a memorial for an indian princess. It's good luck if you add a stone. 60 and 19 are fun roads too. Right at 19/129 there's a restaurant called Turners Corner that has been featured by Alton Brown in both Motorcyclist and on Food Network (if it's still there, haven't been in three years). And you should stop by TWO, it's damn near on the corner of 60 and 180/Wolf Pen Gap, they have (or had, like I said, 3 years) GREAT food and it's a really cool place to just hang out between rides. As for 180/Wolf Pen Gap I was up there on a GSXR, and I thought Wolf Pen Gap was a bit too tight and the pavement was a bit too crappy to have a lot of real fun.

Over off of Gate Pkwy. I remembered seeing that statue about a year and a half ago when my wife had to get her wisdom tooth pulled, but I couldn't recall where I had seen it.

Sorry this isn't closer to the Gainesville Tallahasse contingents. Can't go mucher further away from them in a certain direction than this.
