Hey Nathan Dude,
I just saw yr vid commentary Wet Feet so here's a link for the others. You should try and post some of your Facebook videos right here on this thread as you're a natural Kommunikator. Perhaps Facebook don't make it as easy as youtube. http://www.thepostman.org.uk/2009/05...mber-the-dead/ http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=100632529687 overlandr screwed with this post 05-06-2009 at 02:44 PM |

Awesome, great RR!
Tennis shoes, shorts, tee shirt and an open faced helmet on a scooter with a basket as a farkle... are you even allowed to post this on ADV?
I don't know if you have balls as big as your head or a brain the size of your balls but either way this is crazy cool. You have my respect, good luck!

I wish my name was Pat.
Hi guys,
Again thanks so much. I'm sat in a cafe in Pai, Thailand, having some tea and some eggs on toast and really honoured to be reading the responses. Hopefully me and Dot won't disappoint and will make it through to the end. No surrender. Someone asked what GPS I'm using; I'm not sure of the name, my parents posted it out to me once they'd finally come down from the ceiling. It hasn't got any mapping facility, just a bleeper to tell them where I am. To be honest i wouldn't recommned it so probably best that I can't remember the name. Still working on the indonesian report and will have it up ASAP. I'll also find some close up shots of that ladies underwear for whoever it was that commented on them. We're just about to head off and find some dirt trails around Pai. I'll try and figure out how to upload the helmet cam video from my website to here. Okay, we'd best be off. Nathan and Dot. |

One less hill to climb
Hi guys,
Here's a short vid from mine and Dot's ride out today. We had a right old disaster trying to get up a hill but we made it back safe and sound in the end despite the bit around 2.00 minutes. Sorry, there's a bit of blue language in the middle. Nathan and Dot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkD4y1iVz6Q

I don;t think it's a SPOT.
It's like a small cheap mobile phone with 4 AA batteries connected to the back that are too big for the device. That all goes inside a solid black box. The problem is the battery doesn't last that long and I believe it's costing quite a bit in phone credit to keep it working, From what I've seen of SPOT it seems a better system |

Interesting, I'd chuck it and save 'ole Dot the extra payload. I bet that'd freak out the parents.
Cheers man, journey on!

Very nice... Love the minimalist style!
(doesn't the CT110 have a low range? I remember a Trail 90 I rode as a kid had a low range that would crawl up anything!) I'm in!

if you havent seen the latest video, watch it. it makes you appreciate your bike a lot more when you see that he has to push his bike the rest of the way up the hill. good luck nathan, and keep it going!

Nathan, Just watched the video, for God's sake be careful. Now that you've got a bunch of us hooked we don't want to see this adventure end on some unamed hill in Thailand.
I just showed this thread and the first photo of you & Dot to my SO, her comment "Fantastic!!!". It is something she would love to do, after 35 years as a travel agent she would have no problem leaving it all behind and trying something like you are doing. I, however, am a little more materialistic. I like the motorcycle travel as long as she stays home and keeps the bed warm for me when I return! Venture on young man, you are having the adventure of a lifetime!!! Be safe.
