After watching the video of going to the mall, I think you choice of DOT for this trip is brilliant. It oh so fits in with the local population thru out the areas you be traveling.

Safe Ride Friend we'll be watching.

Mark.

Are the motor mounts properly torqued?

That's one of the beautiful aspects of a ride such as this: the maintenance of the bike is just dead simple. Take, for example, your GSA: there's a massive amount of electrical and mechanical components that could fail at any time, and be both awkward and expensive to repair/replace. Given that Dot's pistony heart keeps beating, there's not much that can go wrong that can't be fixed with a crescent wrench, a screwdriver and a roll of duct tape. And, well, maybe a new battery here and there.

This is an awesome ride. "Historic" comes to mind.

Great trip Nathan!
I'm not sure of your route, but if you come thru Bulgaria, you have a free room, meals, workshop access or whatever you need waiting on ya!
I probably wont be there, as I'll more'n likely be somewhere in Siberia, but Poly will be there running the place.
Great ride, & I think you chose the perfect bike for it.
My place is in Idilevo, directions on my website (link at bottom)
Good luck, & dont lose Dot in a pothole!

Doug
