I really want to figure a way to mount up my bicycles to my TL - the summer before law school I bought an extra rear seat and took it apart with the intention of fitting a Thule roof-rack tray and fork mount to it, but didn't get it finished before law school took over my life

Eric, just get the Buell on the track already and/or ride it across the country.

ahhhhhhh, I love the veiw from inside my helmet!

Bob the builder and I got out for a short run today. Nice to hide inside the helmet again. Even if you can only get out for an hour I recommend you do so.

Sunny Times!

i tried to start my bike today. i got sweaty and gave up. maybe i'll throw a new plug in it, maybe i'll never ride it agian. in other news...i'm getting a cheap honda clone motor for my z50. what can i do to make the thing last, anything to be especially watchful for?

ps. how ya liking the katoom? i snuck a peak at it while you were gone. it sure is different looking. (sort of like dumbo the elephant)

The katoom is good, and yeah it's kind of ugly huh? That's why I fell in love so quickly. It is a bit under powered for my liking, but a fun bike to ride. The fuel tank is also a bit wide for my short frickin legs to so it will take some getting used to or I may have to swap out the tank for something thinner. Tmorrow is cut a few inches out of the foam in the seat day. maybe then I might have a chance to touch the ground.

So I'll be the one running the rpm's way up to keep up with you big boys

I'm going to try and head out for at least a few hours tomorrow, and maybe Thursday before old woman winter kicks back in hard Thursday night. Nothing like a dirty lunch ride!

well wouldn't you fucking know it...

i was talking bad about little piggy not starting yesterday, so i went and got a couple spare spark plugs on my way home from work and she fired up second kick on the one that was in there. also this weekend i stopped by kevin's cycle and picked up a new set of fork boots to replace the shredded neoprene ones that were on my bike. i happened to notice that my left fork is leaking oil (again) and my goddamn shock is too. sooooooo, now that my head's been spun with suspensionometry (it's gotta be its own science) i only know one thing. i do not want to spend money on a 21 yr old dirtbike. so, fork rebuild, plus shock (used from latexpants)(sorry matt, somebody had to let the cat out, just a misreading of your username, but funny, no less) plus the new exhaust i know i'm going to need the next time mine falls off, equals one bitchy chip.

fml.

now i gotta go soak my labia in vinegar. and drown my sorrows in some johnny walker.

There's a suspension shop doing a 2-for one service special this month. I've not used them personally, but have heard good things. Don't know if the sale makes it worth shipping costs.

Or maybe get one of these in the mail (or, I could probably bring one up in May as I'll be moving to VA - probably with my pickup truck which is in VA which means it'll be making an empty trip from VA to MA).
