The arch sounds neat, something to shoot for. I think I went on the Ololololololoie lake road last year on my KLR, I'm new to the area so I was more lost than anything . I took Gates hill rd a couple of weeks ago, talk about twisting road from hell, it was a blast. Let me know if you attempt anything in the area...I'll go...M

Yeah, there are a ton of fire roads that go nowhere up there, easy to get lost. OK, will drop a note when I go next time, would rather not go solo -
You will need to go slow though, my little DRZ will be struggling to keep up with that F800GS, especially with my large ass on it. I don't ride on the highway unless it is unavoidable... secondary roads are my choice. I have a handlebar mounted Garmin 60CSX, makes finding the backroads a lot easier.
Been drooling over the F800GS since it came out, went down to Salem Honda/BMW & sat on one and made motorcycle noises... VERY NICE. Not sure if I can get the purchase past my wife, but I can dream...

It's funny, I've been looking at the DRZ 400's as my next bike, more single track friendly. Test rode one from the Salem dealership a couple of weeks ago, liked it alot, but want to kill a couple of bills off before I get another bike. Don't worry about keeping up...I'm known as King Putt

My bike made it to Albany and back last night , so Jesus healed my bike
(he sold me the two bottles of injector cleaner at Walmart )

I'm still waiting for some relatives to show anytime, but also need my Chinese fix, and another short ride.

Anyone for Lucky Fortune Sat. noon?

No more bosses ride - Sat!

Sat noon and a ride sounds perfect. I'll be there.

Cool, if the relatives show up, I'll let them follow me there, and maybe lead them up to Silver Creek Falls, etc. Or not I still want to find that waterfall above Scott's Mill.

Bummer L.I.T. - here's hoping you find a new job soon.

I'm still working 7 days a week and it's driving me crazy only had two days off in the last month and a half - Guess I shouldn't moan, but Dave's not a happy camper right now.

Seeing as we are working pretty close to the Lucky Fortune today, we'll try and pop in for lunch with you good looking guy's - You too Bigmak and Lovin it Strom

Dave

Mid Week Ride

I had a chance to ride this week. Went to Spokane on my bike for work and then was let off the leash to go play. Made my way to Wenatchee then headed for Colockum Pass to Ellensburgh.

I had to do some field repairs, due to fact that the road is rocky as hell, that and the Germans have not heard of Loctite. I lost a bolt that holds the headlight assembly to the bracket. Creative use of bungee cord ehh?

After getting turned around a few times and cursing myself for buying a heavy pig again and not some tiny dirt bike...like the 450x, I made it out of the hills and made my way to Toppenish for the night. The next day I went over 410 to Mount Rainer. Heres where I stay with the "food thread" topic and show lunch...

Heres a picture of the lunch spot.

Here's a picture of Mount Rainer, a good day for pictures but I really need to learn how to use a digital camera, more than just point and click anyway. I think Seattle's mountain is more imposing than Portland's.

I stopped by South Sound BMW where they gave me a bolt for the headlight and snagged a Giant Loop saddlebag. Mostly pavement but fun.

Is there a spot on ADV where I can post a link to jobs? My workplace is hiring a couple dozen people in the next month or so.... anybody want a job? It's in the Salem area...

I'd love to give the ADV community a heads-up on it before it hits the want ads. Especially around the Salem area. Is it OK to post a link to a job site from here?

I don't get any referral fees or anything like that, I just like my workplace.
