Hi Jimmy,
Really like what you have done, looks great. Just wondering if you have any idea of how much weight you have lost on your bike and a ride report would be great too.

Nah got an exhaust place in Springwood QLD to make it up. They did it for about $500. Saved a huge amount of weight and more power!!

Very cool bike.

Now if Kawi would just bring it into the States...maybe with the 650 engine from the Versys...?

Not tall enough for bluegums? Seems Gums have run riot all over the world. Even credited with saving thousands of lives in North Afreecar by drying up swamps and denying skeeters somewhere to breed.

Did you replace the odd jetting arrangement kawasaki had for their header cats?

Yes, you dont need different sized jets anymore because headers are equal. I have 102 mains in at the moment, but hopefully will get it on the dyno

Nice thread,
lots of good info.
I got an appointment on Saturday morning for a testride,KLR 650 and for comparison a KLE 500. Now the KLE has only 6000k`s on the clock and the KLR almost 12000K`s. Also the price is 6500$ for the KLE and about 7500$ for the KLR. Even I think I could get the price down to 6000$, espacilly if I tell the Dealer that I found a 2007 KLE for 5700$ on the other end of town !
Well if that works out it will be also my first Kawa, had never one before. I remember in the good ole days back in Germany they had a lot of trouble with electrics, thats why I never bought one.
But it would be graet to again.
Cheers everyone!
