New Tag = New Twist!!
![]() ![]() The twist you ask??? The front of my bike is in NY and the rear in CT. You have the chance to bag 2 tags in 1 stop if you wish to take on the responsibility. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showp...&postcount=270 ![]()

Got it ... got 'em? My pics are close, but I couldn't remember exactly how you shot yours Boatman.
![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for placing this tag still near enough to me so I would make a run for it. I went for a very scenic 2 hour ride. First off, not sure if riding a geared down 250 with motocross tires in the rain on tar is a great idea. Second, not sure how good an idea it is navigating off a folded paper NYS map when riding around in CT in the rain :-) Anyway, I sure had fun because I really didn't know where the tag was and knew I would have to search for it. When I left it was sunny ... headed down 22 and the rain started at Millerton. Went down to Wassaic looking for County Route 3. Since I couldn't find Rt 3, I finally turned off somewhere before Dover and headed east. Found Rt 341 and when I got to Macedonia State Forest I figured I was headed wrong and decided to go into the SF to find a Ranger to talk to. After a very nice dirt road ride for a mile I found one at the main office. He didn't know where Hitchcock Corners was ... but he had a map. I spotted this little hamlet called Amenia Union decided to head there because it stratled the border ... and I saw the most straight forward way there was through he SF another couple miles of dirt road and beautiful scenery. After I came out of the SF it was only a few miles of back roads to the tag. Took a few shots and headed back North because I was cold and wet. Rain stopped after I passed Millerton and I dried out along the way home. My conclusion after all this ... is I am definitely getting another bike. Probably a KTM 990 or F800 GS. Going to start looking for a real adventure bike now and save my 250 and knobbies for the trails.

New tag. Mountain scape identification (no signs).
![]() And building on the state line theme. After you snap the above shot ... turn around 180 degrees to snap this state line welcome.
