You have heard correctly. The MT60's are a great tire, with short tread life. It is a supermoto compound in the Uly sizes, so long tread life is not to be expected.

The Avon Distanzias are also good tires with supermoto compound. However, the Distanzias last about twice as long as the MT-60's, and are not quite as expensive.

I just put a pair of the Scorpion Trails on the Uly. I will get back to ya on how they work.
