One More New Tag
If you are over east of Lake Wales, ride Camp Mack Road.
![]() Nice sweepers in that area on Camp Mack, Barney Keane, Mammoth Grove and Masterpiece. Not too far from another tag, Tiger Creek. Get 'em both. FL Pepper screwed with this post 10-17-2010 at 06:13 PM |

Good day of riding there FL Pepper!
That 'non-dino' was there for years and about 3 months ago it was gone. It was still gone two weeks ago! I guess they cleaned up the field and put her back. RIDE ON!

Hi JD, nice meeting you this weekend.
The first three posts are the tags we got, and the next three are the replacements. |

Once again, FL Pepper is the one to collect one of my tags. (The Georgianna/Provost Hall Triple stuff).
Time to return the favor and try for one of the new ones now that I have one bike running again.FL P., good meeting you up at the Scrub. I left at just the right time Sunday to place myself at Scottsmoor & Mims on US 1 under that big storm that went "Severe" right after I outran it from Titusville to the house. I wanted to stop and take some pics of the big black shelf cloud when I hit SR 405 and gained a little easting on it, but was afraid it would catch me again. Good call, because as I had to turn south on SR 3/Courtenay Pkwy it started catching me and I just got to the house in time to roll the bike and gear into the garage. Sanjoh was right about having some soap ready - my riding gear got completely cleaned of grime and bug splats even without the soap.

Seed Orchard, tagged. If you head East from 41 in Brookesville on Mondon Hill Rd, and go about 3 miles, the road will take a sharp 90 degree bend. Continue East on Soult Rd at this bend and it turns to dirt. The sign is just another mile or so up on the right. DO NOT go North on FR3 from Soult, the sand is way deep. I almost had a dirt nap on that road, many times.
![]() Soult Road is no problem at all, its hard packed with a little sand on top.

Maybe that tire is the reason it was handling so shitty in the deep sand today, I thought something was different. Damn peppermint and cheese holding me back.
![]() On FR 3, I was just thinking to myself "don't hit any of those damn trees!" It was sandy two track with some real deep ruts, and I am afraid to get on the center and haul ass like I would on the DRZ. I chickened out several times and stopped, but I went through most of it standing on the pegs, with the bike trying to track all over the place. |
