We're shopping for a good used class A right now. We'll have our settlement money in a few months, and I'll be getting SSI disability. After selling the house I can pick up odd jobs if I want, or not..... Never thought I'd retire, now I have no choice it seems. May as well do it in an RV and see the country......

I took that pic while some vandal was tagging my bike!

Back to our regularly scheduled topic- I've wondered about a rig like Nick just posted. Seeing it makes it look like a whole lotta truck and not so much personal space.
I saw two interesting RVs yesterday while at the hydroplane races in Geneva NY. I only got this picture though:

Looks like lots of room for everything and everyone. The truck had a garage door and lift gate.

The other was an 80s era VW Westfalia that was loaded down with lots of stuff including a KLR250 hanging off the back bumper. I was on the FJR at the time so no pic of that.

Even very well cared for RV do not hold their value.......so no need to be scared......and there still could be room for price negotiations

Andy, that looks nice and clean. Many people demand a slideout now so the price isn't any big deal. We sold our Southwind that was one year older and not quite as nice for $12,000 last year. Not a single call on our 1997 36' Pace Arrow at $22,000 that has been on an ebay classified ad.

We've been shopping for a good post 2001 Class A for awhile now. From what I can tell on the ads I've seen, That's about going price, and looks like a great deal if it serves your needs.
We're looking to buy shortly after years end.

Here's a little gem that I picked up for $500 bucks. It needed new fuel lines and a fuel filter to get it running. Everything works great except one of the air conditioners. Even has a 6.5kw Onan generator that starts up everytime right from the drivers seat.

I get plenty of looks driving down the road in this hot rod.

Mostly we just use it to go out for pizza, but I'm planning on bringing it up on my land in NH. It should make a nice tree stand this fall.

It actually runs great. I haven't tried any of the plumbing yet so that could end up being a nightmare, but supposedly everything worked last time it was winterized. It should be making a 120 mile trip up to my NH property sometime in the next month. I have a half assed driveway cut out and not sure it will make some corners, I plan to bring a chainsaw with me to take out any trees it won't get around.

Damn - craigslist? I never see stuff like this about. Most of the time stuff in NH and Mass appears to be way way over priced. Especially bikes.

Actually a dealership believe it or not. Although the guys that owns the dealership is freinds with my father, I was looking for a POS trailer or rv to put on my land in NH for cheap money. He had this hidden out back and told me that if I could get it running I could have it for 500 bucks. He just wanted it gone. He didn't want this ole eyesore sitting next to those million dollar motorhomes. I'm thinking when I'm done with it I might put ad over in the flea market for a trade.
