My wife and I have been looking at Sprinters and originally thought we'd buy one and build it up. All we really wanted was a generator, a/c, and a bed. We crunched the numbers did about two weeks of research and searching and one evening realized it just wasn't going to happen. Just before going to bed I got an email from someone who was selling his Sprinter class B. It had more rv stuff than we wanted, but the for the what we bought it for, I told my wife we could rip out the bathroom and all the cabinets, keep the bed, generator, and a/c, and still be ahead.

I drove 500 miles to Amarillo to look at it, put a deposit down, and flew up and drove it home a few days later.

This!

Is 'zactly what I want.

I'd like mine with no wood, and no carpet. Slick plastic interior walls, and some kind of easy to clean vinyl flooring.

And a gun safe.

Y'all keep yer eyes peeled fer me!

These things are just butt ugly enough to be beautiful.

You can find real nice ones in the 3k range.

The carpeting up front are just mats that cover the original Sprinter textured plastic flooring. Down the center aisle is linoleum. Under the bed in the rear it's carpeted. We're not big fans of wood either, but this isn't as hideous as some of the RV's we looked at. We have two dogs, so carpeting is always an issue with us. It's nice being able to take the carpet mats out and shake them out, and I carry a small broom and it's pretty easy and quick to sweep everything out the sliding door.

No, we were looking at one for sale and I needed to send my wife some pictures. We passed on this one, it was a pretty good deal but it went on ebay the day I looked at it and I didn't want to play the ebay game. Chinook was on the short list of RVs we would consider buying. This Chinook sold for around $15,000, I think it had about 77K miles on it. It was in pretty good shape for it's age, I was expecting a mess and other than the color was pleasantly surprised at how good everything still looked.

It's Leisure Travel Van conversion. We're pretty happy so far, it's an '03 with 59,000 miles. It just made a trip up to Alaska over the summer, it was a lifelong dream for the previous owner and his wife. They were getting on in years, bought the Sprinter for the Alaska trip, did a few trips over the years around the country and finally made it up there.
