To me its easy for some to say why would you bother when they see a pic of your R45, But thats what restoration is all about isnt it. All you need is the passion & just a small amount of patience

Sorry, but this bike looks like it has enjoyed a former career as an artificial reef. Are you really going to spend the time and $$$?
Airhead forum would be AOK. Quote:

I would like to see one. I have my father's '72 /5 that I plan to rebuild sometime next year, and I think that there would be a lot of information to gain. But,, I understand that it would take a lof effort to maintain it. Why not give it a try, can't hurt too bad.

So, Powers That Be.
Is there a form to fill out? Is there an on-line request page? What's our next step here to create the "Airhead" forum?

Im wondering if maybe we should post something down in the "Ask Baldy, Blame Fish" Forum with a link back to this thread, May get noticed then & we can see where to go from there.

The problem with this is that would airhead GS's go in Airheads or GSpot? That would be confusing. Unless GSpot got renamed to Oilheads/Hexheads which I don't think will go over and I personally think its stupid. Maybe a VINTAGE forum makes sense for non GS airheads and other old POS.

Maybe Komet is onto something - a vintage type of forum. Airheads would probably dominate but it would broaden the "viewer base" Here is hte Idea We call it "Old School Rides" and subtitle it "Airheads, Brits, Guzzi's, UJM's and the rest" (would that fit) That way when I finally get a Commando I can stay and play. How are we doing?

Why don't we simply hijack the forum of choice and go from there?
