I voted no. Too many forums spreads the knowledge base too thin.

Thats a fair point but unfortunately there really is almost no knowledge base for "Airheads" here as this forum is so active with "Oilhead" info that every post on the older stuff gets swept aside & gets lost really quickly.

Give big space to the festive dog that makes sport in roadway. Avoid entanglement of dog with wheel spokes.

Go soothingly on the grease mud, As there lurks the skid demon. Press the brake foot as you roll around the corners, And save the collapse and tie up.

Thumb Yes Please

Saves me having to 'dig out' the relevant stuff to keep the old pig iron on the road.

Well said Bob,

Maybe if we all head on downstairs to the "Ask Baldy Blame Fish" Forum & add a few words to the thread that is running there too maybe we will get this happening

As I pointed out in the 'other' thread http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46421

the info we already have won't be moved to this new forum. Also there there is lots of info already available out there and it's already organized into bite sized chunks.... So why do we need to duplcate all of that effort?

Put another way just what is this vintage forum going to be all about?
What is the point of starting this new forum if it's only going to be a re-hash of what already exists?

I don't have an Airhead

But do think it makes a lot of sense. It's a definite change in BMW bikes and they have their own specific issues. To give a forum to Orange and not to Airheads....doesn't make sense. Us 'oilheads' wouldn't be here in the 1st place if it wasn't for them. Do it.

Hi a_k

Sorta like draining fork oil. Takes a while, but worth the wait.

Popcorn? Sure...

You know apart from a few negative people there is heaps of interest & the poll is showing that interest. Should be a pretty easy decision to get this happening

I guess this statement applies to me? I am not negative, I just happen to disagree with you. I bet if you searched google, there are plenty of airhead forums you can search for or post questions on. I think there are almost too many bike sections on here as it is. I read them all, and have gotten many good tech tips and ideas from people who own bikes a lot different from mine. Have you ever heard of an echo chamber?

I just think that there is enough knowledge on here already, and if you want to find something you can. How many duplicate threads appear each week because people don't search for the answers?

I just read the ABBF thread and think a Vintage forum is not bad. Airheads is too specific.

Hey I didnt specify who was being negative so if you think it applies to you then thats up to you as well. Im not going to get into a shouting match here coz that doesnt solve anything.

You know that your right, There are alot of other forums relating to "Airheads" on the net. But there are also alot of other places for GS's & KTM's & everything else that is supported here, So does that make them less interesting to some people.

I always thought that this was an online community & it cattered for all different people & tastes, Maybe Im wrong.
