Alpine Arizona in the White Mountains

Great summer ride and one the best kept secrets in Arizona. Alpine is on the eastern border of Arizona. A one intersection town with 3 restaurants and some cabin type resorts. It has lots of trails, forest service roads under great canopies of trees, and lots of Elk. Did these on KLR,good for any size rides.

Thanks! I've saved and will add it to the to-ride list.

I just rode US191 through Alpine last month on my way to Old Mexico. Not a bad stretch of pavement , but I hope to go back and explore some of these dirt roads. Pretty area!

Great place to ride and see. If you are staying in Alpine a super ride is to take 180 East to New Mexico, then south on 180 to 78 West, which will take you back into Arizona and 191, where you want to head North on 191 to Alpine. Or you can of course do it in reverse, either way you are in for a real treat. If time is of the essence, 191 is the better of the two.
