I missed out

After reading the last replies to this thread, I really missed out.
I agree with one post, that another sit down soon, would be great.
Backwoods:
As, far as Eastern MS riders. Start a thread, and make the title specific, Like Meridian area riders. Otherwise searcing the Southeastern US, can be disappointing, and time consuming.

That is a couple of the places I have thought about taking the tag. My parents don't live too far from Stuckey's Bridge and my dad grew up near the mill. I used to run that road by the mill when it was dirt and before the Park Service took over... It was much more fun then!!!

PS. I can often leave work very early if someone wants to go riding.

up for a ride.

I could do something Sunday I think. Or at least meet a group for part of the day.

I may have to go rescue my own TAG location if no one else wants to go for it. Either that or I need to start a second tag game that stays within 50 miles of the Capital building or something so we can have more action!!

I have obligations Friday evening at work, nothing Saturday (so far), and obligations on Sunday morning (unless I find someone to cover for me)... Besides that, i could probably be talked into riding.

whats up?

Looks like the Holiday has kept everyone, tied up. It has for me.
I think the second tag of 50 miles, is a good idea. After most areas are covered, you could extend that range.
Peaches< where you located, I am in Terry.

Be careful what you ask for. My wife if the photographer and she takes a lot of photos.

We are going to the BMW Rally in Johnson City TN and have rented a cabin for the week.

Yeah, between the holiday, work, and life in general, it has been hard to go get the most recent tag. But Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning is starting to look promising for me, if no one beats me to it.

I live IN Jackson, about a mile from Hooters. I'm thinking about going for a short ride this afternoon, wanna ride?

I get my other riding jacket back from the tailor on Friday (getting more reflective material added) and was thinking of doing some riding/ camping this weekend...

What are some good camping spots within 30 miles? Preferably near a body of water. (keep in mind good cell coverage is a must b/c of work.)

Marathon lake south of Forest. A bit more than 30 miles (more like 70) but there is a good campground there and IIFC I had phone service while there.

Depending on what you mean by water, Rocky Springs has free camping and a shallow stream. It is about 40 miles down the Natchez Trace.

There is also a campground out by Ratliff's Ferry (north on the Trace about 30 miles from Jxn).

Askew's Landing west on I-20 at Hwy 22

I use to go to Rocky Springs all the time. I liked hiking the creeks and there is a hiking trail that will take you from the campground to the town and the waterfalls. May not be much water falling since it has been so dry.
