Yeah, but I am talking about folks who have no education whatsoever; their only means of survival is working with their hands, usually by the hour. These are the same people who bitch because they don't make enough money, but many weeks won't get forty hours; and I don't mean because it's not offered to them.

And I am like you, I like to do as little as possible as often as possible, but the big difference is, we own our own businesses.

Thanks but I was just joining in on BW's posts - I had looked into getting spares for my FZ1 and DRZ when I had spares made for my Nighthawk made (only had one well worn key from the previous owner) - my local HW store could handle my old Honda. I'm good.

I'm close to the Jackson area - Meridian. I'm in between bikes right now but am looking for something cheap (<$1500), so if you would keep an eye out for something for me I'd appreciate it. I'm open to anything from dual sports to cruisers to sport bikes. Thanks in advance for the help.

Welcome to the club! I am originally from Meridian and had been hoping we'd find some riders over that way to help with the tag games. (Most of my cool hiding places are over that way.)

We are always posting bikes and deals we find or here about. What type of riding to you want to do? Or which of the above bike types is your favorite?(better say Dual-Sports in this crowd!)

I'm open to any type of bike. I just need to be on 2 wheels. I'm down for any bike as long as it's a good deal. I would perfer something running, but I don't mind doing a little work though.

The thing about having your own business is that you are totally responsible for it making it or going under. You work for the good of the business, not the paycheck. That, I believe, is the difference.

I think you miss my point. When I say I like to screw off, it's not a necessarily a decision taken lightly; I live this bitch all day, everyday, so the fact that I am screwing off during everyone else's workday doesn't matter. I might be up at two a.m. next week making sure that we push through and finish work for a customer in dire straits.

What I am saying is that the work ethic in this country sucks ass. It is so hard just to find folks who will come to work, at work time and give a full day of work; nevermind finding someone who knows how to do what we do. I don't give a fuck who you are or where you came from, but I do care if you work hard. It doesn't matter to me how educated or uneducated you are, you don't mean a thing to me if you are only working thirty hours a week. And I am not shitting you, it's almost always those that don't work a full week who are bitching about a raise the most!

I think for quite a number of years we have ALL been told that we deserve Hummers, big screens and a house on a nice quiet street to live in, when in fact, most of US don't need or can afford such things. I think we are seeing the dissolution of that ideal right now. And I am scared that our current government is not helping the situation out at all.

I think we were saying the same thing. When it's yours, you work like it's yours and bust ass. So when you goof off it is not only needed but you are not screwing the boss, you are choosing to recharge your batteries for the next busting ass session. But many who work for someone look at this as an adversarial relationship with the goal of getting as much $ for as little work as possible. This is greatly due to the generational progression of entitlement as established by the government and which is used more and more as a tool to redistribute wealth. Trust me, we think alike on this issue, I about blew a gasket when our health care system was turned socialist under the guise of the government can run it better. Anyone ever look at the amount of medicaid/medicare dollars spent vs quality and quantity of care? Or the fact that both will be broke soon?

OK ok, enough of that. I come here to laugh and enjoy myself, not raise my blood pressure.

I agree with both of you, Supha/Trophy.
Just think those 30 hour a week workers, now will have medical coverage. They are being rewarded for being Slackers. This kind of rewarding only encourages them to be more Slack. They know that if they worked 40 hour weeks, they would be over the limit, and would not receive the handout! These people know the system!
This bill is, to pay for Billions owed to China. This bill is, to pay for Wars that have no End. This bill is, to pay for a Stimulus plan, that is in the Billions, that has no effect. In the End, 2014, these guys will not be in office, and the medical bill will be broke! Then the medical tax will be raised, and the Shit gets worse. If Americans dont protest in great numbers, the SHIT WILL GET WORSE!
