Hurrah!

Now, go to Hood River, Or (via the Washington side of the gorge) and see the prettiest area in the NorthWest.

Far out...Really nice of Dauntless to step up to the plate!

And...As for the dinner crowd---well, did you guys fear for your life? Did you check your wallets? Why are you hanging around with misfits? Looking for cultural enlightenment?

Great RR and good company!!! Keep us posted, I'm watching this every day!!

Success!!!

Way cool to see the rig back together once again.....looks like the Dauntless team blitzed the rig to get you back on the road....Many thanks to them for sure.....must feel awful good to both of you to be whole again and pointed down the road....
Thanks for the inside look at Dauntless....looks like a really well put together outfit for sure....Do they have a vinyl fitting area there? I'm looking for a tonneau cover for my Spirit sidecar...think they could handle that? They'd need to have a pattern.....
Looking forward to the next link....
Drive safely...

Greetings from Oregon...

Hola Los Amigos...

Loaded the bike....got the backrest installed ....sipped a Latte....gassed up and headed toward Mt. Rainier. Destination Salt Lake City, UT...

Sidecar and its new wheel which we have lovingly called "Fuggly"(fuckin' ugly) performed well. Every now and then we'll check Fuggly to make sure she's set in her bearings(!!!) and stays smeared...eh!!??

this is the view behind Elmer

Riding along Rt. 410..started out to be a nice day although overcast and cool.

mmm, feels good to be on the road again...

as soon as we got over the mountain (Baker?) the landscape started to change...dry--desert like and HOT...

aha....there are many wine tasting places in Prosser, WA

let's go!!!

yeah!!!

come on in!!!

alright.....

I'll take both.....

ummm, I think that'll be you Sir Elmer....

do I look like I need help gettin in my tub??!!

the vines...Petit Verlot

to be picked mid-September...it'll be a busy winter for this vineyard..

this was along Rt. 12/82 (we decided to hightail it to SLC, UT) and skipped sight seeing along the way (BOZOLA...we will come back and visit Walla-Walla). It was interesting to see the changing landscape. Could see and smell nothing but wheat or hay for miles. There were a lot of farming among this dry desert like plains for many miles and it got COLD!

we had to pull off and out came warmer liner and pulled on our head scarf to keep our necks warm...

oh man, saw 2 trucks hauling this load....it's part of the windmill that's going up everywhere. I suppose they're heading towards Columbia River area where it is ALWAYS windy.

nice scenery....

the mighty Columbia River and it was blowing around 20knots (felt like it) and our fuel gage went from 1/2 to 1/4 after few miles...

sorry...couldn't get a better picture as I was fighting against the wind while holding the camera...

rode by an Army Depot...look closely at these bunkers where they keep live ammunitions...

eeek...rain clouds abound!!

pulled over, put on our Wally Mart jackets...and here comes raindrops

ackkkkkk....that's it!! it poured in buckets!!! We stopped in Baker City for the night and it is pouring buckets. Haven't seen rain like this since we left NC back in June. They're calling for 2 inches of rain tomorrow. The plan is to head towards SLC and check out the Salt Flats (maybe we can break a record with the hack...eh?!) We sure miss getting together with other hackers in Seattle...wish yer'all were along on this trip with us!
To all readers...we cannot say how much we feel encouraged having you along with us for the ride. It's been one hell of a ride and look for a bit more til we get home! We are truly glad to be back on the road and thanks for being there for us!!!
Lady Sharon & Sir Elmer

I'll get both of you to come to Walla Walla, yet, Sharon. ;)

On the road again!!!

Great to see you Royals on the road once again...
How many miles per liter of wine do you get???? I can imagine checking the wheel on the car is done on a regular basis....considering what happened, it's pretty normal..your trust was broken and will take some time to return....but hey, it's good to see the journey continuing to wind along....
I saw a couple semi trucks with some of the propellers to those windmills on them being sent north from here....amazing to think they may be the future of alternate energy....
Columbia river is well known as one of the premier windsurfing areas in the west....always windy.....
Have you tried Cherry Cobbler yet???? Foodies want to know

Safe trip your majesties....

I was fortunate enough to have some visitors today. Fuggly stopped by

We met a few blocks from my place. They followed me home.

They couldn't stay too long, but we had a great time. I think Elmer fell in love with my shop. I had a chance to look over a real rig

Sadly they had to hit the road. They were bundled up because of the looming threat of rain.

On the road again

Sharon waved till they were out of sight

It was a real treat to have you two stop and visit. Thanks!!!
