Hey Walub, as Pifflemaster recommended, hydrate... I suggest you urinate from time to time as well....lol
My iron butt draws to a close soon. Over 5000 kms in 11 days, two of those days were not riding days. Should be back kn the Peg tomorrow afternoon. This does not truly qualify as an iron butt, but my ass feels differently about the entire ride. All the best on your trip.

Hi, I'm planning a weekend trip to riding mountain, need suggestions on routes to the park, in the park and surroundings.
Looks like hwy 10 should be good ride as well as the road through lake audy and back to hwy 10. Also need suggestions on where to stay (biker friendly)? Anything that you think might help are all welcomed. Thanks a lot for all your time

I love Riding Mtn park, but have yet to take the motorbike through there...it's on my list.
Lake Audy road goes through the bison enclosure - be aware of that...they often hang out right on the road and they are unpredictable. ![]() Motorbikes are not allowed on any of the hiking or biking trails ![]() Depending on the facilities you need/want...Lake Audy is my favorite campground in the park. Get a spot near the back on the lake. I don't remember if they have bear boxes there - if they do, use them...and keep a clean campsite. I've seen bears, moose, wolves and deer in the park. Take the east entrance into the park, it's far more interesting IIRC. Rolling River Road looks good too. http://www.pc.gc.ca/~/media/pn-np/mb...General_e.ashx

I was actually going to make it to the Friday lunch...but the western sky looks like Cruella DeVille on a bad hair day!

Ran through a sweet little cloud burst/electrical storm...with marble sized hail @ 15:30 today near Prawda. Had to pull over as the hail was starting to hurt the hands and the road was getting slippery.
Nice finish to the EAOR Rally run. Glad to be home. The BMW need new oil. Where are we going to do lunch tomorrow?

Well... How about the Kings Head at 1PM. Most of the lunch crowd will be gone so we should be able to hear ourselves.

Oops
I guess this post is a little late, and consequently looks like an orphan - but you know, I am up here in Oxford House, and let's just say the High-Speed Internet is a little slow on the uptake...like I am from time to time (this being one of those times)
![]() So Walub - let me be the first to ask then...How was the ride? Did you remain well hydrated, and emptied? Inquiring minds want to know... |
