Sunday Aug 21 10 AM Aldie Mill Confirmed

YES, we are riding on this Sunday August 21.

Meeting up at 10 AM at Aldie Mill which is on Rt 50, one mile west of Rt 15.
There is truck/trailer parking west of the Mill in an adjacent lot.

To recap;
This will be a nice ride in some of the prettiest country on the east coast.
You will not be bored; we got dirt, gravel, clay and rock thru pastures and woods
The route will be mostly county dirt roads with at least 1 water crossing.
We will break for Lunch and are usually done by 4 PM but early exits are easy.

Let me know if you are coming so we can hold till we see you.
But if you just show up that works too!!

Ed

Next weekend is a can't miss event. It's going to be a weekend worth of riding.

Yes sir, I'll be there, thank you for asking. I'll head on over and sound off in the thread here shortly. That Hoe-Down is the high point of the Appalachian-American social calender. It is a spiritual experience one cannot do justice to in describing.

I might even wash the KLR.

I'm still a definite maybe... Just broke off an extractor in one of the brake pad pins earlier tonight. I have enough pad to make it through, but the tip of the extractor isn't coming out easily. Still need to check valves too. No need to wait for me, but the good lord willin' and the creek don't rise, I'll be there.

Ed,

not sure if I'll be there tomorrow or not. Depends if the wifey gives me the go ahead. We talked a bit at the Ducati Experience... is the route going to be the same route we did a few weeks ago? Are you going to hit that nice water crossing I keep hearing about?

Ma!!! we found WATER!!!

Based on VATrader's precise directions "its over there somewhere, I think",
I found the/a water crossing.I found it from the otherside this time but I saved the crossing for tomorrow.
The only markings at the crossing were horse prints and I know they have better clearance than I do.
Even with a snorkel. Bring a change of socks.

Ed,

I hate to bow out, but the lake kicked my ass today. I tried wakeboarding... tried being the operative word. I'm too old for that stuff.

I'll be there, but probably only ride until about lunchtime. Screw the rain!

I bowed out at Silcott Springs and shot back up Snickersville. I've had statistic homework for the past 3-4 hours.

It was a fun two hours for me though.

Good meeting ya BluWolf. Let me know if you'll be heading out in the future.
