I am going to officially commit to a Yes for riding tomorrow, barring foul weather.

I am ok with Sheperdstown but would like to here what bbooker thinks as it was his idea to ride in the first place.

Sounds like a plan

Ok, I took Elkhound's suggestion and came up with this:

Leesburg to Rt 9 and then 617 to Harpers Ferry

Harpers Ferry to Antietam

Antietam to Sheperdstown

Sheperdstown via 230 and 340 and some back roads to Rt 9 just west of the Shen. River

Rt 9 and Rt 7 back to Leesburg

By Garmin's calculations, this is about 75 miles and 2 hours of riding, not counting time for stopping in Antietam or anywhere else. With some stops thrown in, it's about 3 - 4 hours plus whatever your travel time is to and from Leesburg.

This plan works for me. How about everyone else?

I say we meet at the Roy Rogers* in Leesburg at the corner of Catoctin Circle and Rt 15, just north of the Rt 15/7 Bypass interchange with Rt 15 business.

I say we meet a 9:00 at the latest, but I could make 8:30.

I'm up to 80% likely.
Will be interested to see if more NoVA riders come out of the woodwork
for this one.

I seriously doubt I can make it by 8:30, 9:00 is early for me. I'll try.

It's looking a little gray outside, but the forecast is calling for only occasional rain, with more of it to the south. I'm moving forward with the plan. If anyone besides mica is going to join us, be at Roy's by 9:00 or call me on my cell phone & let me know you're on your way. 703.217.2702.

Between my bumping it and the kickstand sinking into the soft ground,
it was indeed hanging there by an advrider.com "thread".

Looks like you had a nice ride.

In Stone ridge my self - hopefully I can make a ride as well sometime. I know a few decent roads in the area - but am looking for more DS once I get the race slicks off the 'Tard.
