Hot Springs, AR rider looking for local riding buddies

Hey, have been on this board for some time. I have gone from a 650gs, to a 1200gs to nothing and now wanting to reenter the dual sport riding. I am looking at purchasing a F800GS but am wanting to find some guys that enjoy the backcountry riding. I live in Hot Springs, AR and am looking for a club or group that is in the area. If you know of anyone or if you are one, let me know. I plan on picking up a bike in the next few weeks and getting started again. Thanks and I look forward to meeting some Arkansas riders and exploring the state's backcountry

I ride a f800 gs, absolutely love it! I am in the Texarkana area and try to get up to nw Arkansas as much as possible.
Keep an eye on the regional forums for upcoming rides.
I'm planning to ride the anti Black Friday ride 11/28 & 11/29.
There is a great group of riders that will attend this one and it will have big bike friendly routes.

I work too much and don't get to ride as much as I used to.
Maybe we can ride before it gets too cold.

I am still trying to locate a bike with the options I want. Thought I had one but it didn't have the right stuff. I have feelers out at several different BMW dealers in three states. I will see what comes of it. I will keep watching the board until I get my bike

Word has it on good authority to watch out for this crazy banshee! He has been known to help fellow riders dry out their bikes, come to the rescue on oil changes, and freaking slab it back once the going gets out of going!

Good to hear from you ACODY!!

Yep, if you have a bike by then, then try to make the Anti Black Friday Ride.

It will be the day after Thanksgiving and leave from the TAT shack north of Dover. Camping at Longpool or motel in Russellville. There will be a knarley little bike ride and a tamer big bike ride. Both will be awesome.

You'll meet a lot of good guys that like to ride It is hosted by the Adventure Riders of Arkansas and a newley opened website at araride.com

Dagwood,

Thanks for the info. I was going to buy a 2013 leftover but am thinking on the 2015. I will look at the new website. I really want to find a group to ride with so I will get to see more of the state. Thanks and hope to have the bike soon

I bought a KX65 for my daughter today. I don't know whether she will like it or not. It's a big step from her CRF70.
The 65 would have been the most important thing in my life at her age. That was a few decades before bikes like this were made.
