+1 - I did it recently, header and mid pipe it was cheap (I think around $60 IIRC) and fast, highly recommended.

a Longtime KTM'r is Researching the Berg

How is the Engine Vibe of the 570 S [dual sporting] compared to the KTM 530 ??

The 530 is much improved over the old 525, which wasnt nothing compared to
the 560/620/625/640

I will report back after the install.
So this tank doesnt have its own fill Cap ??

Can you fill this tank at the gas pump thru the Stock Tank opening ??

No it doesn't - at least not one that you can pump gas into.

The tank is filled through its connection with the OE tank. As there is only a " tube (plus vent tube) joining the two tanks, it takes a few moments for the levels to equalise - but that's not an issue.

?????????????

Yes it does, and I do put gas in there on occasion, just did it last night. Don;t have to if you want to wait to fill through the connector, but the option is there.

To be fair, it's described as a 'auxiliary fill cap' but it's a threaded hole and plug - I generally don't want to get spanners out to gas my bike - especially when there's a much better hole at the top of the stock gas tank.

you'd have to be in a pretty big hurry to want to remove that plug to fill, and then reinstall it.

since you're only putting a gallon in it takes far less time to let capillary action work...

Looking at a leftover 09 570 for a d/s. What is involved in making it street legal as for as lighting etc.. Can this be done? The new 570s for 2011 is perfect but the $ on the 09 has me thinking..

Since you don't give your location (hint, hint), the short answer is that it depends on where you live.
If you read the posts, you'll see many people have them registered and plated, depending on how strict their states' guidelines are.

10 FE450 plated in NC...love it!

Horn, mirror and was good to go. No turns required in NC.

Home of the Indianapolis 500 here..Does it come with the wiring for turnsignals and horn. Somewhere I read that it already has a full harness. What about charging issues after you add all the street legal stuff. Brake light switch?
