Getting the bike from Vancouver to Fairbanks, or?

Starting a trip next June 2013. 1 year on the road
Have a 10 day cruise booked from Vancouver to Fairbanks in August. No problem with the 1 month to get from the east coast to the west coast. However,
What do I do with the bike? Is there a reasonable cost to have it shipped up to Alaska so we can ride back to the lower 48?
Is there a place thats trustworthy to store it in Vancouver for a couple weeks?

If you're refering to BC, try posting in the Canada forum and someone will probably step up or at least have some advice.

I have seen good info on bike shipping in the Alaska forum, try there, those guys know all about it.

Rent a U-store it locker in Vancouver.

(I have garage space near Seattle you can use if all else fails). You can take Amtrak or the Washington ferry to get up there.

NOTE: Bring your passport. Can't get back into the US without it these days.

Check into the Alaska Ferry out of Bellingham. I used to ship a kayak sale to Alaska via the ferry, but I know that there must be someone at the other end to pick it up, meaniing take it right off the ferry so the ferry workers don't have to touch it.
