Mapsource shock

With a tour in Oz coming up thought I would update from City Nav v7 to City Navigator NT. The local agent (MapWorld in Christchurch) advised that NT was only available on SD (and miniSD) not on CD ROM as Garmin was phasing them out. This would appear to make MapSource redundant as to my (slow) mind I can load updated info to the GPS off Mapsource but would not be able to load up updates from the SD to Mapsource. Can someone enlighten me?

You can buy City Navigator Australia NT 2009 Update CD (requires a prior version) for AU$99

A full version of City Navigator Australia NT 2009 CD is AU$195

I have just come from JA in Sydney and have been informed that the new version of NT to be released in July will have both AUS & NZ in one..

A new version of City Nav is expected sometime in the next few months. No date has been announced.

Currently some nuvi GPSs are coming with both Aus and NZ.
It is not known whether there will be 2 different updates (one just Aus for units with just Aus and one with both Aus and NZ) or whether all updates will be both Aus and NZ.

We could guess too but prefer to wait for definite info.

Confirmation;
City Navigator Australia & NZ NT 2010 was released 1 July 09

Whether you have Australia or Australia & NZ you will get both in the update.

The online update is US$99.99 but you probably want to wait for the CD version which is expected to be AU$99.

If you purchase the full version of City Navigator Australia NT 2009 CD and register and unlock it you will be offered an update to CN Aus&NZ NT 2010 (by download).
