I could live with those handlebars. Did you need to change cables? Looks like you just re-routed.

I replaced the clutch/throttle cable with extensions, but I didn't measure properly and they were still a tad bit short... so I did have to re-route them a bit. And I replaced the front brake line with a stainless steel one. The wiring could have been easily extended, but I was able to re-route it instead, so I didn't bother. As for everything else, it pretty much fit like a glove. Aside from the drill-holes for the handlebar clamp mount, which were a little tricky.

I do have risers on the handlebars, so they are high enough that the hand-guards actually go in front of the wind screen, and the brake line goes behind... as seen here:



(This is with the stock windscreen. It works the same way with the tinted bubble windscreen.)

What do you mean "with extensions"? Longer factory cables from Honda?

I wouldn't know if that took any vibrations out of the bars but I suspect it did.

Nope. I got custom extensions with my local shop. He has a cable kit with assorted fittings/ends and he just makes them himself to a specific length. I had him rip apart my existing cables to re-use the fittings that didn't come in the kit.

I also put rubber dome sealing washers in between the handlebar clamp and the triple clamp. The quality of the rubber is crappy, so you need to replace them quite often, but they only cost like $2 for 4 of them. Not a big deal, compared to how much they reduce vibrations. You can't see them in the pictures above, though, because they were taken before I did that.



And the silver things on the ends of the handlebars are vibration dampening bar ends. They have a rubber cylinder that goes inside the inner part of the handlebar, so they vibrate but the grips don't.

That's great! It reminds me somewhat of how I used to ride my Ninja 250, though I'd expect that the longer legs of the Honda work much better.
