Yup, that's very true. I have to admit the one electrogizmo I'd really love would be cruise control. I lived in Wyoming for many years and it got a little tiresome trying to keep a steady speed with a throttle lock or by hand on my RT as I did long days around the West. Here in Virginia the roads are so twisty I wouldn't get as much use out of it, but it's a very nice feature.

If I had the $$$ I'd love to give a Ducati Multistrada a multi-year test ride and see if all that electromagic really works like they say it does. Maybe I'm jaded by past experiences, but I wonder how long that kind of stuff lasts once you have ridden the bike in the real world of rain/sun/dirt/corrosion/etc. for a few years. Even proven tech like electric windows and door locks on cars still fail routinely after several years of use. My son had a BMW car that was just a huge black box of electronic stuff (things like steerable headlights, radar-controlled cruise control, etc.) that was an absolute thrill to drive. Over its lifetime, though, it had several big-dollar electrical failure issues that his warranty covered. Once it hit 100,000 miles and he couldn't get an extended warranty for it he sold it because fixing that stuff is very expensive.

Go for it. I can put together a diagram of the paint layout if you like. It's the Standard tank. Also have 8 more sets of side cover badges made (and for sale).
