Question Anyone know a good motorcycle shipping service?

Not sure if this is the best forum for this question but didn't see a better one. If a moderator knows a better forum, feel free to move this.

Looking for a service that'll ship my bike from point A to point B. I'd like to ride it but don't have the time at the moment, yet want the bike here NOW!!!

U-Ship

I recently had a good experience with UShip.com, I set up a bidding process based on my pickup and drop off locations, date and time and everything worked out very well.

Good luck

i've used uship twice. both times, i've googled the name of the best quote and worked a deal outside of uship. Saved 50-75$ this way.

Ive also had good luck using Uship.

Or talk to a local motorcycle shop and see if you can talk to one of the truck drivers that does regular deliveries for them... I have had luck doing that as well. If you can find a truck that is going in the direction you need to go the driver is usually happy to make a quick stop and charge you a small fee for the spot on the truck... In that instance I would either keep the bike insured on a personal insurance.. yours or the buyers...

Hey maybe you should look at USHIP.

I've used them and they are very reasonable, door to door service!

I recently used a company called R1R6 Express and was very happy with service.
She, like most small shippers, bids on uShip jobs. Contact her directly for best quote as uShip does take a cut.

Brandy Weaver is the owner/driver. r1.r6.express@gmail.com

The more flexible you are on timing the better the rate

Uship is good. Do your due diligence.....if the truck shows up without appropriate stuff to tie the bike down tell them to pound sand. With that said.....have used uship man y times.....only one issue

Where are your points A and B? I use an Ocala, FL-based shipper that runs up and down the east coast or close to it. They ship direct to your destination from pickup with no holding points at extremely reasonable rates.

I'm considering shipping a bike next year. Who accepts bike shipments? In my case, I'm planning on shipping out west somewhere and flying out and riding it back. I don't have a contact anywhere out west that can receive my bike. I's have to be a third party and all I can think of is cold calling a motorcycle shop and seeing if they are willing to take it and hold it till I get there.

Any ideas?

Have you thought about posting in the West regional forum and finding someone to accept and store it for you?

Bit of thread necromancy, but...

People seriously getting bites off uship? I'm trying to get an F650GS from the DC area to SF, and have so far gone through three of those auctions without a single bid.
