You can order the maps at www.transamtrail.com . I have ridden the route, plan on 8-10 hours going to Batesville. We spent the night in Grenada and returned via a route put together by a friend. Nice ride overall.

It could handle it. It is mostly gravel and some dirt roads. One small section that you could consider off road, but if dry, the beemer would make it fine.

Wolfy, the MHCT has no section as rough as some of the places you took that airhead a few weeks ago. It is maintainedish gravel/dirt roads. Nothing too bad, as long as you're not running 50 into a blind curve with a deep rut running across it. My shoulder hurt for a few hours after that one. Luckily, DesotoHomo was only running about 2 MPH when he hit it.

Actually the hardest riding of that trip was the gravel roads.....

Need to get me some knobbies!
