I agree, when we left Columbus Ohio at around 12 noon Saturday in the pouring rain Chadd wanted to know why we would ride in the rain.

I told him if I were home I wouldn't go ride in the rain but this is different because we are on a trip and you have to ride to get to the sun !

Well he remembered Shawn in Texas talking about riders going 1,000 miles in a day and decided he wanted to try that.

Well we didn't make it 1,000 miles but we did go 515 all the way to Albany NY.
where we got a room at midnight. We were going to try to make it all the way home but I decided it was too dangerous, rain dark and hard to see.

I decided this wasn't going to be the day I/we died.

We were on the New York State Thruway I90 east and it was so windy on Saturday that I got low on the tank and Chadd got low on my back.
We saw a travel trailer about 20 feet long being towed by a car just flipped over on the median strip. The only pictures I took was on Sunday at the ferry crossing in Essex NY. Chadd was anxious to see his dog who he had never been away from this long.
