Hey Chris, let me know when you're heading over to Phils and, if I'm up to it, I might come for a drive and check out his handiwork.

Sorry for the delay in updates.. Phyllis, the builder, is making very nice progress with the underframe now complete, the two bottom connecting bars have been built and work is well and truely underway with the top two.. The adjustable trail reducer isn`t all that far away from being started.. He`s taking pictures as he is going along and once done, i`ll borrow his memory card from his camera and upload the pictures then.. Have dropped all the panels, hand rails, tank, beak fuel cap etc over to the painters last Monday so with any luck at all, we will have something to show shortly.. As most tradesman are these days, he`s extremely busy but knows I`m keen to have them done.. Its a bit of a waiting game at the moment i`m afraid.. Once the frame/trail reducer is completed and the panels have been painted, we will be keen to put it all back together as quickly as possible.. As far as putting a time on it, i`m not really sure but we should see something coming together inside the next two weeks.. Trust me mate, i`m just as keen to see it completed as you are.. More updates shortly.. |

The thing looks right and the sub frame is the least complicated-best thought out I've seen for a GS so far,I can't wait to see the finished article so I can get in the shed and pinch your ideas

Not worth keeping it a secret mate, not much difference from the original colour really.. In the early discussions with the painter, I asked him to match the colour of the sidecar to the BMW.. Once we worked out that it would look strange with the chair painted in shiny 2 pack and the BMW in dull.. I asked if he could spray the whole thing in a metalic paint for something different.. He said that wouldn`t be a problem and I left happy albeit a bit more out of pocket.. I guess I forgot to mention that I was thinking of changing the colour and he`s gone ahead and bought the paint.. I could ask for a different colour but I think the silver is a good chioice..

In gray / silver it would look similar to this one.
