First off , I'd like to disqualify this bike from the challenge.
It's too new, my first 21st century bike.
And although my winning bid was $1450.00 , it was an insurance aution with related fees on top that push the real price up to wellover $1500.
Anyway here it is.

It is a 2004 ST3 Ducati with 42,000 miles on it. As you can see the left mirror is gone, the clutch lever is broken and the left saddle bag is scratched up and the mount slightly tweaked.
The good stuff.
Nearly new Michilens, heated grips and lot less damage that I was expecting considering all I had to go by were some fuzzy photos taken at funny angles.
More gooder news is that after charging the battery, I pushed the magic button and it fired right up.
Though I'm waiting for the title to be mailed I rode it to the store for fresh gas. And a little further. It just got better , brakes, fine, handeling, fine, motor very strong.
Who could blame me for opening it up a little ? I took it to 100 and backed off. There's plenty more for later. Come on title !

original cl listing.
This bike has it all!! Its lowered and streched with air shifter, pro built big bore drag motor, Falicon crank, balanced, ported & polished, external oil lines to head, true Sidewinder header, Mikuni flatslides, cams, Dyna ignition and rev box, onboard air compressor for shifter and tank, deadman switch, stretched 6 inch over polished aluminum swingarm, Schnitz, Fast by Gast, APE, Star and many other upgrades. This bike was built with the best money could buy at the time and it is street legal. It has been sitting in my garage for too long and it needs to go to a good home. THIS BIKE IS FOR THE SERIOUS RIDER ONLY!! It is EXTREMELY fast and powerful. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY - JOY RIDES ARE NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, DON'T ASK! Priced to sell at $3,800 OBO or trade for something of equal value - NO JUNK.
paid $1500.00

dirty, leaks, dry rotted tires (i mean bad, i had to be nuts to test ride it. but i had to see if it lived up to the hype. it did). the seller put 400 miles on it in six years.
i just can't stay away from these old drag whores.

Nice score. I paid $ 1000 for this one, but I'd rather have yours.

That back wheel doesn't quite look straight in relation to the rest of the bike. Could just be the light or the angle though.

I think it's the left side case, that he said was damaged.

It is hard to keep the price down when you begin to add accessories.

M'kay, walk me through this: did you buy that switchgear, and if so where? if not, did you make the labels and do that yourself?

Coz in terms of Shit I Have To Do Just To Keep The Neighbours Talking And My Mates Wondering, this is right up there.

It looks like old-style H-D switchgear.
