That is a great looking bike for $1,200!

this is a great bike, and under appreciated. I had a 93 that had been stolen twice(and of course wrecked both times), had multiple crackheads smash its outer spark plugs and generally push it over (parked in bad area of town. sucks), and with 35k on her she still pulled like a mule on speed and never had a single issue.

in a zombie apocalypse the nighthawk 750 is on my shortlist.

btw, yours is in WAY better shape than mine which I sold for $750 ($1 per cc)- nice find.

I own a Suzuki DR 800 now for many years, but recently there is some problem with the electric. no spark and i canīt find the problem. Solution? buy anoter one!!!!
found one pretty close to me, paid 1000euros, about 1250dollar

needs new tires, chain/sprocket and battery, otherwise its ready to go.
i hope by comparing the 2 DRīs side by side, i can find the problem!

cheers

Triumph Sprint Executive

Picked this up a couple weeks ago for $900. 30,000 miles. Frozen rear brake caliper and funky electrics is all I have dealt with so far. Used caliper was $150 and a new left turn signal was $20. The luggage cases are beat up but are still lockable. So a little over a grand gets me a possible distance tourer. Corbin saddle. D&D exhaust. The damn thing has a 6 1/2 gallon fuel tank!
Cheers,
LabRat

Apart from the sprag-clutch thing and the fact one has to remove the carbs to change the air filter, these are great bikes.

Those D&Ds sound RIGHTEOUS.
